Week of April 1, 2008
History
1. Great Wall review questions---due first block week of April 7th (8th graders turn them in this Friday).
2. You will receive a study sheet in block classes for the Great Wall game---a big competition activity between the dynasties for next week. This will be due in first block next week. 3. Map assignment on The Silk Road will be handed out in class and due first block next week.
3. 6th/7th graders: This week you will begin note-taking for your history reports. Bring your first source and your LIBRARY CARD to language arts class this week.

6th Grade
1. Giver and Shabanu final assignments. See assignment sheets handed out in class on Tuesday.
2. Wordly Wise Unit 6 test in class on Thursday
3. Unit 7 will be started in class this week and due next Tuesday, April 8.
7th grade
1. Wordly Wise unit 9 due on Wed., April 9th.
2. Bring your Grammar/Punctuation Skills book to class on Friday, April 4th.
2. Shadow Spinner: You are all undoubtedly at many different places in this novel, including many who have completed it. Questions and vocabulary through chapter 14, which you received before the break, are due this Wed. (April 2nd). You’ll receive a new set of questions taking you through the end of the book.
Complete the book and final questions by it Friday, April 11th.
You will have a little time next week to work on it in class, so bring it daily (there will be some differences in the schedule since the 8th graders will be in Mexico).
3. Secret Life of Bees: You all agreed to complete the novel over Spring Break. You’ll receive a study packet in class on Wednesday with due dates and specific assignments.
8th grade
1. This week is all about the 8th grade project. The next 3 to 4 pages of writing are due on Thursday, April 3rd, with the appropriate outline sections. You may have until Friday if needed.
2. Your preposition packets (both) were due before Spring Break. Half of you didn’t turn them in. DO SO NOW!
