homework week of 4/13/09

Language Arts and Humanities Homework
Week of April 13, 2009


History
1. Complete the map on Paul’s journey. Due second block this week.
2. Complete pages 61 through 63 of World Religions: Christianity. Due second block this week.

3. Homework on the spread of Christianity and different denominations will be handed out in second block and due in first block next week.

4. You will have the final test on Christianity on Thursday, April 30th for grades 6 and 8 and on Friday, May 1st, for 7th grade. The study guide will be handed out next week.

Language Arts
6th grade
1. Final short stories are due on Tuesday, April 21st.

7th grade
1. Complete pages 17 through 22 in your skills book. Due on Wednesday, April 15th.
1a. Write a conversation between two inanimate objects (for example, a basketball and a hoop, a pencil and an eraser). Have the speaker in the middle of the sentence in some of the dialogue. Due on Friday, April 17th. We’ll begin this in class on Wed.

2. Test on Wordly wise unit 9 on Friday, April 17th.
3. You will receive your history report topic in class this Wednesday along with a first source to read, highlight and begin to take notes. The notes on the first source are due on Wednesday, April 22nd.


8th grade
1. We will meet with the 8th graders at Horace Mann at 8:15 am on Monday, April 20th. We will meet at Synergy promptly at 8 and walk over together.
2. Write 2 villanelles for homework. Due on Thursday, April 16th.
3. Check due dates for the 8th grade project. Remember, you owe a minimum of 3 hours of work by Friday.
Thursday, April 2nd Your introduction is due (NOTE: by now, your report should be at least 4 pages. If your first sections were short, make up the difference with this part, even if it means writing more sections)
April 3 – April 13th Spring Break (if you’ve kept up with due dates and requirements you should have very little work writing to do). Begin work on your visual component.
Friday, April 17tth Three more pages of your report are due

Hi,
this is Kira. I am wondering what packet and what pages we are supposed to use to complete the map. I got really confused in class. I have written down in my assignment log that I should use the 2nd packet, page 15 at the back, but i can't see how that map and the blank map are the same countries.
