Homework week of 1/4/10

Middle School Humanities and Language Arts Homework
Week of January 4, 2110 (!)

History
1. We will choose roles for the mock trial of John Brown in first block. You will have lines and/or research for homework.

There are 2 sources you may use for research
1. http://www.law.umkc.edu/faculty/projects/ftrials/johnbrown/browntrial.html
2. The Library of Congress American Memory Collection:
http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/index.html
When it prompts you to browse collections, click on African American history
Next it has a box that says Search selected collections. Enter John Brown.
Scroll down to article 19 and click on that. You will finally want to click on Click here to see full text. You may also want to see the image of the original document, but it will be hard to read.
You may also search the other articles in this section.

hi
the real weeks homework is not posted yet so i will use this one
on the judicial branch homework question B
does "B. Might have a jury trial" go in just the trial court or in the both area? It does not say in the reading but i looked on the computer and i i am not sure but i think it says that there is never a jury for the Appellate Court.
