History
1. Reading and questions about Islam will be assigned in class and due in 2nd block.
2. 6th and 7th grade history report work for 30 minutes per night. (see attached calendar of due dates).
Language Arts
6th Grade
Most of your homework this week will be to work on the history report. This means you should spend 30 minutes Monday night, and 1 hour each on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Also, be prepared to do some work over the weekend! Sorry about that, but we are short on time.
7th Grade

chap. 13 through 17 by Wed., 5/13 (plus vocab. and questions)
chap. 18 through 19 by Fri., 5/15 (plus vocab. and questions)
Complete the book by Wed., 5/2 (plus vocab. and questions)
Write a literary log to your partner (to be assigned in class) on one the following topic(s)
1. How does the author use small amounts of information about Marjan’s mother and what happened to Marjan’s foot to build toward more complete knowledge of this tragedy? Use quotes.
OR
2. Write about the way the author uses both direct and indirect characterization to develop a character (you choose the character(s). Use quotes.
Due on Wed., May 13th.
8th grade
1. Work on your 8th grade project visual components.
2. Rough drafts will be handed back this week.
3. Study lines for the play.
