Middle School Humanities and Language Arts Homework
Week of November 30, 2009


History
1. Complete assignment on “Bloody Kansas”. Due in second block this week.
(I-Fri., II-Thurs., III-Wed.)
2. Follow the link from the Humanities Blog to the interactive map of John Brown’s life.
Using the map, write 5 questions about John Brown’s life. We will exchange questions in 2nd block class this week.
3. In second block you will receive a study guide for a history test on the 2 chapters we have read, “A Restless Peace” and “Bloody Kansas”. It will also cover the map of the U.S.---1820-1850, which you completed last week. This study guide is due in 1st block next week (I-Tues., II and III-Mon.)

6th
1. You will receive a memoir reading assignment in class on Tues. It will be due on Thurs., 12/3.
2. Complete your independent reading book by next Monday. A book review is due on 12/11.

7th
1. You will receive a memoir reading assignment in class on Wed. It will be due on Fri., 12/ 4.
2. You will also receive a punctuation assignment on Wed., due on Fri. 12/4.
3. Complete your independent reading book by next Monday. A book review is due on 12/11.

8th
1. Poetry reading and writing will be assigned in each class this week.
