Humanities and Language Arts Homework
Week of March 2, 2010


History

1. All grades: If you haven’t already done so, add the United States War Against Mexico dates to your timeline. Due: Block I---Fri., Blocks 11, 111---next Monday, March 8th.
2. 8th graders----complete the map on the U.S. War Against Mexico. Read the 2 articles and answer the questions. Due: Fri., Blocks 11, 111--- Monday, 3/8, Block II---3/9 (Tues.)
3. Reading on the Civil War will be handed out in blocks this week and assigned for 1st block next week for all students.

Language Arts

6th grade
1. Wordly Wise 5, A-D, is due on Thursday, 3/4.
2. You will begin a book review on Marching for Freedom in class. You may need to complete it for homework. Due on Thursday, 3/4.

7th grade
1. Bring your Wordly Wise book to class on Wednesday. Unit 7 will be introduced and due on Wed., 3/10.
2. Work on the Nazi Holocaust will be assigned in language arts class and due on Fri., 3/5.

8th grade
1. Work on 8th grade project 1.5 hours this week. Be sure to bring everything on Friday.
2. Next week there are a number of half days for conferences and we will expect you to work 4 hours on your project.
3. An assignment on Twelfth Night will be handed out in class on Thursday and due on Monday, March 8th.
