Humanities and Language Arts Homework
Week of 4/19/10


History
1. Complete your Civil War study guide by second block this week.
The test will be on Monday, April 26th for Blocks II and III and Tuesday, April 27th for Block I. Study 30 minutes per night this week and 1 30-minute session over the weekend.

2. History Report work for 6th and 7th grade: Work a minimum of 1.5 hours and complete your work diary. Bring all of your report work to all language arts classes this week. The completed work diary will be checked off in your last language arts class of this week.

Language Arts
6th Grade
1. Wordly Wise test on unit 6 will be on Thursday, April 22nd.

2. You will continue working on the comma packet and homework will be assigned.

7th Grade
1. Art Project for Night. Due Wednesday, April 21st. Don’t forget the caption!
2. Your Night essay planning sheet and the rough draft of 3 paragraphs are due on Wed., April 21st. We will work on it in class on Wednesday for 30 minutes. The complete rough draft is due on Friday, April 23.

3. Bring Wordly Wise to class on Wednesday. We will begin unit 8 in class. It is due the following Wed., April 28th.

4. The final Night essay is due on Wed., April 28th.

8th Grade
1. Complete the proposal for the visual component of your 8th grade project. Due on Friday, April 23rd.

2. Read chapters 4, 5, 6, and 7 in To Kill a Mockingbird and complete the vocabulary for chapters 4-6 by Thursday, April 23rd. Read chapters 8 and 9 by Monday, April 26th. There may be a pop quiz any language arts class to be sure you are keeping up with the reading.

3. Don’t forget-----2 more pages of your project are due on Friday, April 23rd.
