History
6th and 7th graders
• Create your own culture box. Directions on reverse. Due in first block next week
(Blocks II and III on Monday, 9/13/Block I on Tuesday, 9/14).
8th graders
• You will work on creating a time capsule that we will bury in the yard or at Farm School (you get to decide). For homework, make a list of categories of things you think belong in a 2010 time capsule. You will work together to agree on categories and the one object each of you will each bring. The categories are due in language arts class this Thursday, 9/9.
Language Arts
6th grade
1. You will receive a literary log letter from Tammy on Tuesday and your response is due on Thursday, 9/9.
7th grade
1. You will receive a literary log letter from Elena on Wed. and your response is due on Friday, 9/10.
8th grade
1. You will receive a literary log letter from Elena on Thursday. Your response is due on Monday, 9/13.
2. Essay planning for an essay on being an 8th grader will be due on Friday, 9/10. To prepare, brainstorm all the things that come into your mind when you think about being an 8th grader. Due on Thursday, 9/9. (Note: I expect at least ½ page of brainstorming).
