Study Guide for Test on Rivers, Atlas Use
Rivers: You will be responsible for understanding and being able to identify the river terms in your glossary. This will be asked of you in several ways:
* draw a picture of the word
* match words to their definitions
* identify the term from a picture
Use your glossary to study.
Atlas and Rivers: You need to be able to locate a major river in the atlas.
You also will need to know how to f ind further information about that river, either using the atlas or possibly the computer. You will also need to be able to use the atlas in other ways. This includes, but is not limited to:
* knowing the continents and how to learn more about them,
* being able to identify, use and explain the various types of maps such as physical, political, climate, resources etc….
Practice all this by using your atlas. Have someone ask you to look up and explain several specific maps.
