The house is old and mysterious. It would make me feel safe if I went inside. Just looking at it mkes me feel like there's a part of history with me in it.

Wow. I looked at the pictures of Borsippa and those rocks/bricks were very amazing! I wonder how much time it took to build those. Those ancient sumerians must have worked pretty hard!

Wow. The ruins tell quite a story, and I'm amazed by the cemetery.

I think it is amazing that they could make a cylende shape out of bricks. I also think it's incredible how far the ruins are away from the ocean now when Ur was build next to the ocean.

Those pics were pretty awsome!!! I wonder what that huge building was used for? It looks like maybe a whole city inside that one structure!! Or maybe it was just the plce to govern or a city hall or something? It looks like a great place to play hide and seek!

The area looked very dry. But it still looks fun to go in person.

Nice architecture!

I noticed that it must have taken a really long time to build these cities becuase the bricks are so carefully stacked. Another thing i noticed was that they liked using the shape of a triangle.

its really big. Are you aloud to go in there?

Anonymous said...

i dnt know if this is where we are supposed to comment but everything in mesopotamia is dry and made of brick

The pictures of the writing are interesting, there were a lot of building pictures. I wonder what those people were looking inside of in that one picture you showed.

I noticed that most of those photos showed the ruins of ancient Ur. I only saw one that looked like a more recent road. It was a bit of a surprise to see it after viewing pictures of cemeteries, old writing, and ruins of ancient Ur.
I think it would be fun to go there to explore everywhere, try to read the writing, and sort through the rocks to see if we could find more "evidence of ancient civilization". Perhaps we could go there on a field trip!
Wasn't Abraham born in Ur? I remember that from when we were studying religions in 6th grade.
