Language Arts
6th grade
1. Complete all pages in the packet handed out in class today. The first page is called
“Similarities and Differences”.
7th grade (note: this takes us through the next week)
1. Read to page 62 in Night by Wednesday, Jan. 30th. Complete # 3 and #4 in the Study Guide. Due Wed., Jan. 30th. You will discuss your answers in class.
2. Complete Night by Wed., Feb. 6th. Complete #5 and #6 of your packet by
Wed., Feb. 6th.
3. Continue on with literary log entries for each chapter of Night. Entries for each chapter (9 altogether) are due on Wed., Feb. 6th.
8th grade
1. Take notes on your first source for your 8th grade project. As discussed in class, this should be an overview source. NOTE: you must use the research tools introduced in class on Thursday by Diana Wild. You all have handouts detailing these tools. A copy of these handouts is posted in the classroom by homework turn in.
A minimum of 7 note cards due Monday, Feb. 4th.
You must bring your notebook, sources, and all other materials on 2/4/08.
History
1. You will begin an individual poster project in class on a presidential candidate. Complete the poster for homework. It will be due first block next week.
This website, www.votebyissue.org/election2008/, is an excellent source for information about the issues listed on your Candidate Profile poster.
2. Go to www.votebyissue.org/election2008/ and take the election quiz. On a separate sheet of paper, write down which candidate(s) most closely resemble your views. Due in second block next week.
