History
All Grades
1. Read the packet “Courtly Art of the Ancient Maya”. Questions will be handed out in class.
2. Bookmark the following websites that we will use over the next 3 weeks:

www.ballgame.org
Go to this site this week and play the ball game.
6th Grade History Reports
1. Your rough drafts will be returned to you this week.
2. Begin working on the display component of your history project this week.
7th Grade History Reports
1. The rest of your rough draft is due this Wednesday, May 14th.
2. Proposal for the visual display portion of your report will be due on Friday, May 156h.
We’ll talk about it in class on Wednesday.
Language Arts
6th Grade
1. Standardized test prep practice will be handed out on Tuesday, with due dates assigned.
2. A literary log will be assigned this week and due next week.
7th Grade
1. Choose your final book of the school year. If you’re already reading a book, check in with Elena. If you haven’t begun one recently, you may choose one now. If you want to read the same book with some of your classmates, you may look at the bookshelf with the group books and make a choice, but do so with Elena.
2. Write a literary log letter to a partner (to be assigned in class) about your book. Write about one or more of the literary elements we’ve been studying this year (you should have a hand-out on this). Due Wednesday, May 21st

EIGHTH GRADE HOMEWORK ON REVERSE
8th Grade
1. Work on the visual component of your 8th grade project!!!
2. You will receive the rough draft of your written report today. Make the revisions and return to your project advisor by Friday, May 16th.
3. Twelfth Night: Choose 4 of the questions below and complete them in your literary log. They’re due on Friday, May 16th.

hey elena i played the ball game i like that there ar trivia questions and if you get them right you get the point and the funny retorts when you get the answser wrong
