Language Arts and Humanities Homework
Week of March 15, 2010



History

1. If you don’t complete the “Reflections on the Civil War” chart in class, finish it for homework. Due in second block this week.

2. Read “The Pickets” by Robert Chambers and “The Drummer Boy of Shiloh” in the packet “A House Divided”. On a separate sheet of paper, answer question #2 on page 60 (“Responding to Cluster One”). Use quotes to defend your point of view. Due in second block this week.

Language Arts
6th
1. Grammar and punctuation homework will be assigned on Tuesday and due Thursday, March 18th.


7th Grade
1. More chapters and questions for Night will be assigned on Wednesday. Be sure to do the chapter reflections for each chapter as you read. They will be due next Wednesday, March 24th.

2. Use 10 words from Wordly Wise unit 5 in sentences using dialogue. Refer to a guide to be handed out in class on punctuating dialogue. Due Wednesday, March 24th.

2. Test on Wordly Wise units 6 and 7 will be next Wednesday, March 24th.


8th Grade
1. The rough outline for your 8th grade project is due this THURSDAY, March 18th.
This will help you identify areas for more research.

2. Sonnets will be handed out in class on Monday. Read and choose your favorite sonnet by Monday, March 21st.
