The Battle of Gettysburg

Above is an image of the Battle of Gettysburg from the Encyclopedia Britannica.   For extra credit answer the following questions:   Where is Gettysburg? When did the battle take place? Who won this battle?  Who were the generals on each side?  What were the casualties on each side?

Gettysburg is in Pennsylvania. The battle of Gettysburg was in Adam's County (near Gettysburg). The battle took place July 1st-3rd, 1863. The Union was victorious. George G. Meade was the Union general and Robert E. Lee was the Confederate general. For the Confederacy, there were 23,231 casualties (4,708 killed, 12,693 wounded, and 5,830 captured or missing). For the Union there were 23,055 casualties (3,155 killed, 14,531 wounded, and 5,369 captured or missing).

The battle took place from July 1-3, 1863 in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.The generals were Robert Lee (for the Confederates)and George Meade (for the Union). 3, 155 people died on the Union side, 4, 710 died on the Confederate side. A total of 7,865 people died.
