Language Arts and Humanities Homework
Week of May 10, 2010

NOTE: HISTORY FAIR IS WEDNESDAY, JUNE 2ND, NOT TUESDAY, JUNE 1ST.
Humanities
1. Put the 1863-1865 Civil War dates on your timeline. They will be handed out in class. The site with photos and more information is

Due in 2nd block this week.
2. Reading and questions on Reconstruction will be handed out in second block and due in first block next week.


Language Arts
6th Grade
1. Report Outlines are due Tuesday, May 11th.
2. Read through page 71 in Freak the Mighty by Thursday, May 13th.
3. Bring all history report materials to both language arts classes.

7th Grade
1. Complete all of Wordly Wise unit 9 except the Narrative by Wed., May 12th.
2. Read the assigned number of pages in your small group book. You will have discussion time and a short writing assignment in class on Wed. Be sure to bring your lit log with your parent letter by Wed., May 12th.
3. Two sections (or 2 pages, if your sections are longer than 2 pages) of your report are due on Friday, May 14th.
4. Bring all history report materials to both language arts classes.


8th Grade
1. Complete all the rest of the writing for you 8th grade project by Friday, May 14th.
2. Read chapters 17 and 18 of To Kill a Mockingbird by
Thursday, May 13th. Complete the vocabulary through ch. 18.
Read ch. 19 through 23 by Monday, May 17th.
3. Bring your flash drives and writing notebooks to class on Thursday. We will do a poetry writing activity.
