Humanities
1. Read the following
Cobblestone:
“The Civil War and the Constitution”
“Reconstruction and the Five Civilized Tribes”
Footsteps:
“The Power of Literacy”
2. Write 5 GOOD questions for each article.
Due in second block this week

3. A second assignment will be handed out in second block and due in first block next week.

Language Arts
6th Grade
1. Read pages 72 to 100 in Freak the Mighty by Thursday. I will hand out a homework assignment in class on Tuesday that will also be due on Thursday.

2. History Project---- We will work on the writing of your report in class on Thursday. You should have the introduction and at lest 2 pages more by Tuesday (tomorrow) and at least 2 more pages will be due on Friday, 5/21

7th Grade
1. Small Group Books----Read your assigned pages, bring your book to class on Wed. and Friday.
2. History Project----Write 2 more pages of your report---Due on Friday, 5/21. Bring your history work to Wednesday’s class---you will have time to work on it in class.
The final section of your report is due next Wed., 5/26.

3. Wordly Wise unit 10 is due next Wed., 5/26. We will work on it in class.

8th Grade
1. Complete To Kill a Mockingbird by Monday, May 24th.
2. You MUST turn in the final rough drafts of your projects by Wed., 5/19, if you expect any proofreading/editing assistance.
8TH GRADE PROJECT NIGHT IS WED. NIGHT, MAY 26TH.
